It appears that Huntersville’s downtown is poised to gain a brewery.

The town’s board of commissioners unanimously approved a deal to sell the former police headquarters for $1.8 million to 760 Craft Works LLC.

That 8,000-square-foot building, known as the Blythe Building, is located at 102 Gilead Road. It sits on approximately 1.67 acres in the heart of downtown Huntersville.

The property is being sold with a restriction that it must be utilized as a brewery or restaurant, with ancillary office or food truck space, for a two-year period.

Huntersville’s commissioners believe “that it would be in the public interest to convey the property for economic development subject to restrictions as authorized,” according to the board’s resolution approving the sale.

The LLC for 760 Craft Works lists that business purpose as hospitality. Knox Wagner Ramsey III is listed as CEO.

He did not respond to a request for comment on Thursday.

A Facebook page for 760 Craft Works lists the business as a brewery. Its Instagram page says that the business is “beer creators and wine curators.”

Cheryl Crawford with Commercial Real Estate Group represented 760 Craft Works in the deal. The transaction is expected to close within 120 days.
